Chapter 1 [Sneak peak]

Sitting in class, fiddling with your pen, almost falling asleep….
Yep this is my life, huh? Isn’t that what everyone does at school?
I leaned my chin against my palm as I narrowed my eyes to see the white board. Nothing, I’m useless without my glasses, I groaned and turned to MJ with a raised eyebrow, and she looked at me and knew exactly what I meant. She scribbled something on a piece of paper, scrunching up into a ball then directly throwing it to me. I caught it with my right hand and opened it up. My eyes widen and shook my head sighing, MJ was my best friend, I love her with all my heart but sometimes she’s just….overprotective of me, as if she was my mother. Without MJ I couldn’t survive one minute, she’s the only friend I’ve ever had. Yeah yeah, it may sound sad but that’s all I need, is MJ right by my side. I looked down at the paper.
“What’s wrong, Kali?”
I rolled my eyes and replied to her message, throwing it back at her.
“One word: Him”
She read it and nodded looking at me with a frown. She mouthed something to me.
“I swear to god, if he is making you upset I’ll kill him…” She grinned and looked back at her paper.
I swear to god, that girl will be the death of me, but without her I’ll be nothing.
I smile to myself and sighed. I looked up at the class clock and a huge grin appeared to my lips. Five more minutes and I get to move on to my next class, science. My favourite class to be honest, I’m pretty sure I’m one of the smartest in my class…well the whole grade knows who is ace in Science…… because next class, I get to be in the same room as “him”.
